Ali Giacona is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and a Registered Drama Therapist who received her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and Expressive Art Therapy, with a concentration in Drama Therapy, from Lesley University. She earned her undergraduate degree from Drew University. Ali comes to Paradigm with clinical experience providing adolescent mental mental health treatment in residential, inpatient, and intensive outpatient settings. She finds deep fulfillment from working with teens and, while in the Boston area, she worked at a preeminent hospital providing group therapy and individual therapy to teens. Ali is trained in both Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and utilizes both approaches in her work with adolescents struggling with depression, anxiety, and self-harming behaviors. Ali also loves cooking and attended the Academy of Healing Nutrition in New York City to become a certified nutritionist. She believes strongly in the mind body connection and the effectiveness of a holistic approach in working with teens.
